I Know A Place

I know a place

where a piece of my heart will always be

I know a smile

that warmed my soul

I know a gentle hand

that smoothed away my tears once

I know a strong hand

that supported me and gives me strength still today

I know a special friend

who laughed at my jokes and shared in all of my dreams

I know a kindred spirit

who gave generously, expecting nothing in return

I know a beautiful face

that is smiling down on me in peace right now

I know an angel

who will watch over me for the rest of my life

I know a place

where a piece of my heart will always be
